The Centre National Interprofessional de l'Économie Laitière (CNIEL) of France, an organization representing French dairy interests, has announced the launch of an integrated marketing campaign to promote the diverse selection of French cheeses imported into the United States. The newly formed Cheeses of France Marketing Council, comprised of representatives of CNIEL and Portland, Maine-based Swardlick Marketing Group, will oversee the campaign.

The first year of the three-year campaign will include branding, web development, in-store marketing, trade show promotion and public relations. Supermarket sampling and in-store marketing in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic will begin shortly.
